Here we go again

Hmm....me as a writer. I think I'm getting a lot better at writing as the weeks progress. I'm starting to get used to not being able to write about what i want, finally. It's all good. I guess I can't do everything that I want to do. I have noticed that I'm able to write pretty much anytime now, instead of just writing at midnight or later. Lol. My best time to write now is probably between 9 p.m. and 12:00 am. I'm still having trouble with budgeting my time to write though. I'm way to busy but I'm trying to dedicate myself to school. I am starting to enjoy writing a lot more than I used too, when i was younger and at the beginning of the semester for that matter. I am strongly considering writing another book like the one i wrote my freshman year, again. I think with my new found experiences and things that I have learned in this class, that i can do it. One thing that I was having trouble with is punctuating/spacing my dialogues in papers. Stephanie showed me how to do it, and that has helped me out quite a bit. I think I'm getting a lot better at punctuations and grammar. I know I'm not perfect with it, nor will I ever be. I see a big improvement now than when i started, though. I hope that as the weeks progress in this class, that I will get even better at writing. Plus, maybe I can start writing my book. I guess I will just have to see where it goes from here. Chad has left the building. LOL.

  1. I too have been able to start writing earlier than 12 am. It has helped me a lot and that way i do not fall asleep at the computer. Although i have noticed that I enjoy writing in this class because we get to write about things we like such as our subculture and a place we like to go. That really helps me because I hate writing about stuff I could care less about. You say you are writing a book that is pretty sweet hope that goes well for ya.

  2. Chad, Because you're already a writer (lyricist), I think the challenge of writing for other audiences/purposes is especially tough. Part of it, as you say, is just setting your mind to the task. I'm glad it's getting easier.
