Your mother likes my writing

So, I waited until the last minute to write my blog. I don't really think that I have too much to say about my writing. Basically, I dont really think Ive gotten much better since the last blog I wrote. I feel like I had that false sense of security and misconception about my writing. I mean for instance, I thought I wrote a nearly perfect travel essay. I really enjoyed writing it, until I saw all the shit that I needed to revise. Then I realized yet again, that my writing on this paper sucked too. I had said last week that my punctuation was getting better, but apparantely I can't punctuate dialogue to save my life. I am very dissapointed in the way that my writing is going right now. I think that I should be advancing a lot better and a lot faster than I am. I used to consider myself a well-rounded and good writer until I got older, and saw all the real standards of writing. Plus, I am kind of pissed that I can't express myself the way I want to. I can't use the F-bomb when I want to. This may not seem like a big deal to most people but I'm just trying to get a point across. I believe this is Chad's blog, not Kayleigh's blog, Rodney's blog, Derick's blog, Stephanie's blog, Jesus' blog. I'm just using names as an example, so don't freak out everybody. LOL. I'm writing these blogs for me not to please you. I'm not trying to be an asshole but sometimes using the words some people don't like helps me express my writing. I'm a very dramatic and outspoken writer at times. I believe freedom of speech is my constitutional right, and nobody is forcing you to read my blogs. I understand even now that if I was writing in a professional stting that myabe this wouldn't be as appropriate, but I believe the whole point of me writing these blogs is to express myself. If I have to express myself up to someone elses standards, what it the point of even doing them? Nobody told Tom Clany or Stephen King what words they could or couldn't use when writing. Wow....I think my ranting and being pissed off is probably the best writing i've done this semester.

The Breaks

The Breaks
I couldnt really think of anything to write this week, so I decided that maybe I should blog about a movie. I haven't done that yet, so I figured what the hell. The movie I'm going to talk about is in my opinion....The funniest movie ever made. The Breaks is a hilarious comedy starring Mitch Mullany. If you like movies such as Friday and Don't Be a Menace While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, you will most definitely love this movie. Mitch Mullany plays Derrick, an Irish white boy who thinks that he is black. The movie takes place in the hood of South Central where he lives. It is basically covering one day where everything that can possibly go wrong, does. Derick has to deal with jail, a missing boy, attempted rape, and tons of other things that you can't possibly imagine. The movie sends Derick on a quest for milk for his black mother, and just turns into a crazy movie from there. It is a laugh a second movie and I reccomend it to everyone that likes comedy. The movie has Derick taking a test administered by professional basketball player Gary Payton. He has to pass the test to basically prove that he is black, so that he can talk to "The Master." Of course he is tripping on some bad weed when he is taking this test. Lol. Other actors in this movie are Carl Anthony Payne II, Paula Jai Parker, Clifton Powell, Loretta Devine and the Godfather of Funk....George Clinton. I reccomend that everyone checks this movie out. It may be hard to find. I had to order it from Borders. This is Mitch Mullany's only movie that he ever made. God rest his soul. You may know him from his stand up comedy career. Check it out.

Finally remembered to do week 3 blog over. Lol

I am so tired of all these rappers selling out for money. It just pisses me off so much. I write my music to get my lyrics out there and to get my frustrations out. Sure it would be nice to get paid to do it, but I'm not going to stop doing it just because I'm not getting paid. If someone wants to see my lyrics, I have no problem showing off my talent with no compensation. Why cant all these punk ass rappers do that too? I love rap music more than anything and respect what some rappers do, but have total disrespect for that. I mean, look at all the rappers who won't do a show because they didn't sell enough tickets to make what they think they're worth. They should just worry about getting there shit out there and doing it for the people that did come out to support them. My favorite rapper is Ludacris but he cancelled a show back in 2007 because of lack of ticket sales. Go figure, a show that I had tickets for. Plus most the time, you dont get your money back. Another example is Lady Gaga and Kanye West just cancelled there whole tour due to lack of ticket sales. Lady Gaga has enough musical talent that she needs to show off and not worry about that money. If money is that important, Why the fuck would you go on tour with Kanye's punk ass. I love his old music but now he is just a money hungry, egotistical, asshole. Lil Wayne cancelled his Toronto show on August 18th due to lack of ticket sales. You have enough money already dickhead. Get out there and perform. Maybe if he would lay off his crack addiction he would be alright. Anyways, I just wish that these rappers would go out and promote their lyrics and not worry about the fucking money. Trust me....It's not that hard.

Here we go again

Hmm....me as a writer. I think I'm getting a lot better at writing as the weeks progress. I'm starting to get used to not being able to write about what i want, finally. It's all good. I guess I can't do everything that I want to do. I have noticed that I'm able to write pretty much anytime now, instead of just writing at midnight or later. Lol. My best time to write now is probably between 9 p.m. and 12:00 am. I'm still having trouble with budgeting my time to write though. I'm way to busy but I'm trying to dedicate myself to school. I am starting to enjoy writing a lot more than I used too, when i was younger and at the beginning of the semester for that matter. I am strongly considering writing another book like the one i wrote my freshman year, again. I think with my new found experiences and things that I have learned in this class, that i can do it. One thing that I was having trouble with is punctuating/spacing my dialogues in papers. Stephanie showed me how to do it, and that has helped me out quite a bit. I think I'm getting a lot better at punctuations and grammar. I know I'm not perfect with it, nor will I ever be. I see a big improvement now than when i started, though. I hope that as the weeks progress in this class, that I will get even better at writing. Plus, maybe I can start writing my book. I guess I will just have to see where it goes from here. Chad has left the building. LOL.
